Foreign citizens' work at the centre of the State Labour Inspectorate’s interest?

The State Labour Inspectorate (PIP) plans to carry out 55,000 audits in 2025. According to information presented at the end of last year in the Sejm, one of the key areas of these audits will be the legality of employing foreign citizens in Poland, which is assigned strategic importance.

In relation to entities employing significant groups of foreign citizens, entire teams of inspectors, as well as, where appropriate, the Border Guard will carry out audits of the legality of their stay and work in Poland.

Employers entrusting work to foreign citizens from countries with a high rate of illegal migration (i.e., particularly from Central Asian and African countries) should expect PIP to take a special interest in them.
